The route, which starts in Colomers, tours various parts of the Valldavià mountain range or, at least, very near it. This land is located in the interfluve of the Rivers Ter and Fluvià, although most of the streams flow into the River Ter basin. The area is very uneven; it has many forests, with Aleppo pine dominating, and imprecise borders and is called Els Terraprims.
